How to Install fontforge software package in Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak)

fontforge software package provides font editor, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install fontforge

fontforge is installed in your system.

Make ensure the fontforge package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fontforge *

You will get with fontforge package name, version, architecture and description in a table
